    My Essay on Francesca Battistelli

I had to write an Essay about one of my favorite singers and one of their songs. Picking the artist was the easy part but picking just one song was the hard part. I picked, "This Is The Stuff." It has alot of meaning and people deal with it all the time. Thank you Francesca for your love for the Lord and keep up the gift that He gave you.

Stuff That Drives Us Crazy Everyday

There are many electronic devises people use everyday, their vehicles, iPods, pads, cell phone, and laptops to name a few. When a person is in a rush to get out the door that is when they can’t find their keys. When they are running late to a meeting that is when their car will break down. When they are waiting for an important call that is when they can’t find their cell phone. This, “stuff” can drive anyone crazy, whether they lost it or just getting aggravating at them. There is a song from the Christian singer, Francesca Battistelli and she sings, “This is The Stuff.” She talks about everyday things that can drive us crazy but we should really be thankful that we have them.

The phone may ring all day and you may get very tired of hearing it. Your vehicle may break down or have a flat tire and what do some people say? They may say that it’s a piece of junk and wished that they had not bought that certain brand. People just don’t realize how lucky they are to have a phone or vehicle. Not many people take time to thank God for blessing them for everything they have, even if it’s small things. Battistelli wanted people to know that in her song.

If someone gets pulled over, I am sure that they were going over ten miles per hour the regular speed. In the song, it talks about a person going 45 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone and getting pulled over. That can drive you crazy and get under your skin for speeding.

Let’s say you are caught up in technology and put all your trust in a computer to keep your files, pictures, documents and schedule safe. The computer does do a good job, but if it breaks down or gets lost, all your important items can be lost along with it. The song tells us how we should not put our faith and trust in technology. One part of the song says this, “Break me of impatience, Conquer my frustrations, I've got a new appreciation, it’s not the end of the world.”

Christian music may not be for everyone but the message of the songs is good for everyone. Life can get away from us and technology is a big distraction, but be thankful for what you have. So, before you slam your phone on the ground because it does not work, think of some people who don’t have phones and realize that you’re blessed to have one. Battistelli was thankful for the things that drove her crazy.
